When the idea of a blog was presented I thought instantly that there was nothing I knew more about than me so why not start a blog about me. This is a perfect why for me to share my thoughts, ideas, concerns, and struggles. In the time of social media, people like to post their victories, happiness, and mile stones but it is rare that people are willing to share their struggles, shortcoming, or failures. I want to share life as it is… complicated, multi-faceted, and full of ups and downs.
The great thing about a blog about you is that you own the memories that will be needed to post and share. I have a lifetime of pictures, videos, and maybe a few audio recordings. Even if I cannot remember the things that happened in my life I can easily pull in expert witnesses from the that knew me before I even had a concept of who I was.
I am looking forward to the graphic design section because I love pictures and if I am honest I love sharing pictures of my greatest joy in the person of, my daughter. I am excited that I will learn how to best and most effectively show her off to the world. There is no amount of technology that encompass how much she means to be but I will create a visual story of pictures that should melt your heart.
I am also looking at how digital video can be developed to show other aspects of my life that are important to me. A lot of the information that I will use will be video to show how my business is beginning to take shape from doing it for fun with my sister to trying to build a business, logo, and brand that we can be proud of.
I will spend my time coming up with ideas or concepts that are original to me and my journey so I am sharing something that is personal and true about me.
